My contribution to the BANES Cross Country Challenge was to direct the competitors to the correct route whilst encouraging them on to finish the race.
Thoughts and Feelings
My thoughts and feelings to the entire event were.. I thought it went extremely well, every leader turned up on time, we all was at the correct places where we needed to be, the course was set out how we wanted it to be, and the event was a great success.
How you completed your job
I completed my job with the assistance of Reuben Caven, I turned up on time, was where I was suppose to be, and directed the fellow competitors to their correct destination.
Improvements to the competition
The only real improvement I can think of is better communication between the leaders of the event, e.g. walkie talkies, so we can communicate what race is next, when it's started, when it's finished and when the event has finished.

Reuben Caven's Evaluation Of My Session
Evaluation
Report On Alfie Banks
Today I had to observe Alfie Banks on how well he done in his coaching roles. The reason I had to observe him was because our sport diploma group had to take on a challenge to see how well we do when coaching by ourselves. The Olympic Value today was Inspiration.
Below is my report for Alfie Banks:
Hi Alfie, outstanding job today at St.Michels School you really took on the responsibilities quite well and accomplished great amounts of skills. You got on with the task straight away and every single pupil had good fun and left the station with joy and laughter.
The things which went great were:
· Your communication skills ( Spoke to the children in a relaxed way so that they understand what is going on)
· Your confidence was amazing as you didn’t struggle on anything and you handled everything well
· Facial expression were good as you didn’t get angry or lose your temper with the children
· Had precise Connection to the Olympic value ( inspiration )
· Course was set up efficiently
The things you could improve on are:
· Quicker explaining time
· More excitement when communicating to children
Overall Alfie, you done really well at St.Michels, no faults occurred which is remarkable. Just read the improve section are think what you need to do next time. In conclusion a fantastic session, you gained a variety of skills.
Well done!

Peer Evaluation - Reuben Caven
St Phillips Primary School
My task was to observe Reuben Caven as this session he took the leading role of coaching our 'Insperation.' I think he did really well presenting the topic and the meaning of it, also he was friendly with the children and shown a great deal of standards as a coaching leader. Well done Reuben.
Things I think he could improve next time is...
- When communicating with the children increase your volume.
- Explain the instructions more clearly.
- Work out a plan when specific children do not want to participate in the session. (meaning encourage their friends)

My personal review
St Micheals Primary School
Today I took the leading role of taking my 'Insperation' topic of the Olympic Values.
Personally, I thought I did really well, I was friendly to the children and explained in clear detail the instructions on what to do; not to mention the meaning behind Insperation.
Things I think I could improve next time is...
- Work out a plan when specific children do not want to participate in the session.
- Communicate more when the event has kicked off meaning telling the children to encourage their friends.
- Explain the instructions a bit faster at the start.
As a summary I think the whole day went well and look forward to taking the main role again, next week I will be assessing Reuben Caven in his coaching the same as he did for me previously.
